Apparently some of my friends (you know who you are) are uncultured and can't appreciate a good ball, or at least make fun of the fact that I went to a ball. You people are silly.

Anyways, the Div school is having a charity ball on Sunday May 4th. I had been on the fence about going. The tickets are kinda pricey, and I assume it includes food, except that I can't eat the food since odds are it will not be kosher. I'd be going more for the dancing and socialization. Though I wanted to have someone to dance with.

Unfortunately JB of previous ball-ness is going to be away that weekend (for a good reason). So I called up dsKC (not to be confused with hKC who is the KC who usually appears in posts since I see him more often) to see if he was thinking of going, being in Divinity School and all, and if he knew how to dance. So he wants to learn how to dance and was thinking of going. So now barring the unlikely event of me picking up some super-star dancing engineer at MIT if I can make it to swing there in the near future, I'm going with dsKC. Of course, it's harder for guys to learn how to ballroom dance, since they have to lead and all. But maybe I can find a way to give him a lesson between now and then, though I would need help from someone who can actually dance and doesn't just pretend like I do. I suppose without spins and stuff it's easier, and I kinda know where my feet are supposed to go now. I don't know if that translates to me being able to show someone male how to dance...

After the Masque on Saturday night, I decided HRSFA's motto should be: HRSFA: It can lead to mixed dancing! It's completely true, except that no one in HRSFA would find it amusing except for me, and possibly JB to the extent that he knows about Orthodox Judaism.

Though I guess in this case it's Div School: It can lead to mixed dancing.

Yay mixed dancing!
