It's getting to the point where I am using profanity. 4 advils and a massage from [livejournal.com profile] kat_ravensong and I'm still in lots of pain. At this point I don't know what else to do. Maybe a trip to CVS is in order, so I can get one of those anti-inflammatory things like BenGay or IcyHot and a heating pad thingy. I'm close enough now that I could go over, and I think one of them is open 24/7. So I'm going to heed your suggestion, [livejournal.com profile] loveablebaruch and see a doctor.

Good to hear. If it's that bad, you may want to go to the student clinic in Harvard Sq. I think it's open 24/7 and I know they can give Rx for pain meds. But you do need to have it comprehensively examined to rule out any of the bad stuff. Probably a spasm. I've had them before and the pain was blinding. Pain meds were great for that. Helped me sleep and all. Good luck.

So should I go to a general practitioner to get it examined?

The ideal person would be a neurologist but it can take a while to get an appt with them. Your regular doc would be the first step.
