So I survived the flight and am back in Barrington. A lot of stuff is happening right now that I really can't get into, considering that it concerns people who aren't me. I still haven't seen any of my friends, but last night I called Gwen, and got to hear her voice, which was nice.

I forgot to mention that in the closing circle of Pardes, I told the Moishe story. Everyone really liked it, and Tovah Leah gave me a hug afterwards.

So on Sunday I decided to do last minute things in Jerusalem. I went to the shook and picked up some kosher gummies, which are harder to find in America, especially in RI. Then I went to Marzipan and picked up a quarter kilo of rugelah. Then I went down Ben Yehuda Street and Yaffo Street and stopped by Yad L'kashish [Lifeline for the Old] and picked up a kippah for my Grandpa [yes, I know I can make them, but he likes the ugly silk kind] and some notecards for myself.

Then Rachel Rosen called me and we went to the Old City. We davened at the Kotel and got Rachel a Hadiya ring [they are the coolest rings in the world, and if you're in Israel you should stop by the store and you can see what I mean. It's right next to the Cardo.]

When we were searching for an ATM in working condition [they were all boken!] we went into another hat store. I'm getting frustrated because I still can't find the Tovah Leah hat. If you see a Tovah Leah hat, can you buy it for me and send it to me? I'll pay you back. I really want one....

Rachel Pomerantz also met us in the old city, as did Alan. I felt kind of bad because when I was saying goodbye, I hugged the Rachels, but of course I didn't hug Alan. But he understood the whole shomer thing.

My last meal in Israel was Pizza meter. If I had had more time, I would have gotten meat, but since I didn't, this was the next best thing.

On the sheirut I met a girl named Miriam, who is kind of together with Jonah Sobol. I haven't talked to Jonah in forever. I had a pretty good conversation with Miriam, and we talked about the whole shomer thing.

When I got to the airport, the guy at the check in counter gave me a hard time about the fact that I had an extra bag. I was prepared to pay for it. But then he also made me bring my 2 smaller bags to the oversixed luggage place, even though they're tiny. And I've checked soft bags before normally without any problems. Stupid Isralis.

I slept for most of the flight. When I woke up I watched Ella Enchanted, which I had read many years ago at my friend Becca Merhar's house on New Years after she had gone to sleep.

When I got into JFK it took forever for my luggage to come. I quickly got through customs and barely made it to ground transportation in time to catch the 7:02 Connecticut Limo bus to New Haven. Sandy [my boss at Adler's] picked me up at 10:30. We had a nice car ride. For some reason my dad gave her 40$ in case I had wanted something to eat or drink. 40$! I used less than 3.

Now I'm back in The Shire [according to the map that once was in 212...]. I'm bored to death. I've been cleaning a bit, and I've been reading another Anne McCaffrey book. But that's it. No human contact. But at least that means no bad human contact. Barrington is infamous for that. I want my Bessity!
