This week is parsha toldot, teh Torah portion where Esau sells his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of lentil stew.

I came home last night to find that [livejournal.com profile] currentlee had made lentil stew, not having realized as he made it that this was the lentil stew parsha. I'm eating it now and it's amazing. Though there's only so much in the fridge and I don't wnat to eat it all, so I'll probably eat more food after this.

In other news, since my dad waits 1 hour between eating meat and milk, I've decided to switch to his minhag. And apparently I don't need to do a hatrat nedarim (annulment of vows) and can just switch over. I haven't taken adavntage of this new minhag yet, as I decided this yesterday, and I ate meat last night right before bed.
