This morning I finished the week 6 GIS assignment, so now I'm only 3 assignments behind instead of 4 (or the original 5). I'm going to skip ahead and do weeks 9 and 10 before I do 7 and 8. 10 is the one due this coming Thursday and 9 was the one due yesterday. They are both easier than going through and figuring out buffering and stuff. But the week 06 assignment took me about an hour, possibly even less time than that.
I also went to FG and found kosher for passover cream cheese after much searching, so I've been eating for the past hour. Surprisingly, matzah and cream cheese isn't so filling.
I finished a Jayne hat last week, which was for
plus_c and he got it a few days ago. I had started it back in December, so it was long overdue. Part of that was the struggle to make Jenny's beret, part of it was the Ben scarf. I also made my own possum wool scarf, and I did some other random projects as well, such as a hat for
platypuses. But I' much more caught up on my knitting.
Ever since I bought the yarn at the end of my China trip, I've been working on a green scarf that
thedwardler commissioned from me. Originally it was small, then it grew, and there was a noticable size difference. Now I've gotten to the point where I knit and knit and knit, but it doesn't seem to grow any longer. I even had to cut off the yarn at one point in order to detangle it yesterday, and when I started with the new yarn I left the ends out instead of leaving them in right away. Now I have a point of reference to see how far I've knitted. And I've done about 3 inches since then, yet it still seems the same size overall. It's about 4'8" and I want it to be 6". This will take some time. Though the plus size is that I know I'll have a lot of leftover yarn that can be used for socks.
I also want to crochet a set of passover trivets for someone as a gift. Actually, maybe I'll make one for AG, since she never lets people bring food for meals and I'm staying by her for the 2nd days.
I have 5 hours until Shabbat, so I could go off and work for a few of those, which is probably what I'll do. I'm a bit immobile right now for some inexplicable reason. It makes no sense, considering I made myself one assignment less behind. And I packed my bag with passover candy. Maybe I'm afraid to only go to the museum for 3 or so hours, since it's a schlep. I have my bike, though. And I have no excuse for letting the next few hours go to waste. I need to edit, and thus I should leave my room.
I really am craving a nice, warm coffee right now. Sigh.
