theyellowhobbitI turned 22 today. I've been thinking of myself as 22 for the past few weeks or so, so this birthday does not require much of an adjustment. Definitely an improvement on my 20th birthday!
I should probably give an update of this past week. Basically, Teatron sucked up my life (in a good way). The show was a success overall, even if we had like no audience on Thursday, and everyone who came closing night loved it. And M.R. sang the "dick in a box" song in the last show, and Lesley didn't kill him.
I led women's kabbalat shabbat after not being able to do CJC maariv. So it worked out. And Andrew Janet was slated to lead maariv for a week where he can't (singer's show) so he's more than happy to give it to me. Especially since he didn't particularly want to lead it in the first place.
And the cast party was fun, though we didn't have pizza, due to logistical nightmares. But we did have ice cream cake. And I finally got the back massage(s) I've been needing since Wednesday. My left shoulder still hurts a bit, though (but not as bad as it did prior to the massages) so I'm not sure what I should do at this point.
I went to Yaelle Jacob's wedding today. I'll post pictures eventually. But it was the fanciest wedding I've ever been to. Like at least twice as fancy as Ari[ella]'s wedding. They had like 4 rooms of pre wedding appetizers. And then the appetizer for the dinner was duck. And then after dessert, there was this other room that had tons of different desserts. And the flowers were butterfly orchids. I took some home. They're sitting with the boquet that Lucky gave me for closing night in the vase that GM gave me for Channukah.
And then on the car ride back we were all really tired. And I got dropped off at my place, only to realize I had left my wallet in the car. Luckily, I got in touch with Ilana, who said she'd look for it when they parked the car and would call me. And she didn't call, so then I tried her and then Livia. And they found the wallet, and now I'll grab it from Livia's tomorrow. But not an auspicious start to my 22nd birthday.
And I have a thesis meeting with Ben tomorrow! Finally! I haven't seen him in forever.
