theyellowhobbitI went to bed at 8:00pm last night because I was overtired. I set my alarm for 7:30 am, woke up at 6:50, and went back to sleep. Except that the alarm never went off, and I woke up at 9. Fortunately the only set thing I had to do today was at 10:30, so I was fine.
Though now I feel very sick. I think this was a week's overtiredness plus weeks of stress catching up to me. I must have did that thing where I didn't let myself get sick until now.
I'm back home, so I can relax a bit, even though I have lots of work to do for Ben. At least I don't have to leave the house.
Mom said she'd pick up the groceries on her way home from work, so I don't have to do that any more. Maybe if she has time she can help me type up notes for my thesis so I can just sit on the couch reading and not have to sit at the laptop. Yes, I'm 21 and should be doing my own work, but I feel dead. And when most kids had their parents helping them with homework in middle and high school I was usually doing my own work, since I usually knew more about what I was studying than they did. Though I'd give Mom my papers to proofread. Eventually I realized I was better off looking them over myself. Now I send them to my friends at Penn if they have time, or I just hand in my papers not so proofread beyond spellcheck. I only have 1 paper this semester which isn't so compex, and my theses are being looked at by my advisors. I can hand in whatever rough draft I have to Ben; he's more worried about my progress, and we'll go through actual editing later. He's been nice enough to edit whatever applications I've had to send in for grants.
After 13 hours of sleep I probably shouldn't go back to bed. Maybe I'll curl up on the couch with my giant Qumran book and drink hot chocolate.
And no more checking LJ until I finish this section of the thesis. If something important is going on that you want me to know about, e-mail me, or call me if need be. But I can't afford to have my time sucked away by LJ.
