They're here until Thursday, giving free rides to students. They're promoting the Facebook and Chase Bank. Then they're going to other campuses.

Maybe I should get a ride just for the fun of it. I think it would be a fun job to be one of those bikers, at least until the novelty wore off and my legs started hurting.

Maybe they should start a bike taxi business around here. If it caught on, it could help reduce gas consumption, and pollution, and annoying Philly drivers.

In theory, a decent idea. However, the fact that bikes share bike lanes with buses in Center City doesn't work in this idea's favor (that, and Philadelphia's utter lack of respect for bike lanes...)

True. Cars always drive in the bike ane or the bus lane. Today someone was just walking in the bike lane. And I was like "I don't see your bike..." Maybe they should just bike in the normal lanes.

think of how solid your leg, and probably abs would be. no one would mess with you. you'd just run them over in your bike taxi.

Alternatively, one can always run people over on a normal bike.

They're not that streamlined, but they're fairly common in NYC (known as rickshaws here).
