I'm doing a reading for my Communities class- the wikipedia entry on communities. And in part of the definition is this:

Communities are distinguished by having enough participants in a group caring for the common good and developing a sense of community, in which they give of themselves.

If you're definining community for someone who doesn't know what it is, how can you expect them to know what a "sense of community" is? Maybe they could have used something like "solidarity."

I hate it when people are redundant. And usually wikipedia is pretty good. I guess I'll have something to say in class at least...
