New apartment

I hung out with Bess this morning, went home and made sure I had everything, picked up my dad, and drove to Philly (well he did most of the driving but I did the first half hour.)

-Lots of traffic
+ We didn't get lost
+ Despite PECO being evil, I have electricity
-The unloading took forever
+ groovin_reuven came and helped us
+ I used my archaeological lifting skillz. No one was impressed, but oh well.
+ There's some free wireless I can steal until I get my DSL
- I'm tired
+ Raphi and Dassi left some food, some of which is actually edible. Inluding cheese
+ groovin_reuven brought us pasta
+ I am eating like an archaeologist...Good ol' archaeology
- My dad is asking a billion questions and telling me a billion things I need to do to the apartment...Don't you think I can figure some stuff out on my own? Like yes, I see that I need a shower curtain. Thank you.
+ Already there are a billion (ok 14) comments on my beyond BT post which went up today, and most are positive. I still don't get why everyone there likes my posts...
+My couch is actually a fold-out bed. Meaning you're all invited for a shabbat. Preferably not all at once.
-I still need to go through my stuff and unpack
- The walls are bare. I need decorations.

In Mittensy news: Mittens had all the testing done. They couldn't find anything wrong with him. I had to make sure he didn't eat for a while when he came back, and felt like a horrible person, especially when I had to lock him in the basement so Socks (the other cat) could eat. She wouldn't go near the food when Mittens was around. Lately they haven't been getting along, but yesterday she was just being evil! Maybe it was because Mittens smelled like hospital, and that scared Socks.

Anyone wanna help me decorate during NSO week?

Because you're right? And, in the case of some readers, perhaps because you're saying what they need to hear?

I also think that if you're planning on leaving that site, this would be an excellent final post.

Unclear what I'm planning. I keep on changing my mind. I guess I'll post until I run out of ideas. After all, it's not like I need to post at set intervals, just whenever I'm inspired. If the next time I'm inspired is in 10 months, so be it. It could also be tomorrow. Who knows? Inspiration is weird like that.

i think they like you're posts because you don't whitewash things, you tell it like it is. so people can relate to it, rather than feel like its one more ideal to live up to.
also, you write well and think things through well before you post.

Do I think things through? The new one I wrote pretty much off the cuff. Draft 1 was an admission of egalness but then boroparkpyro told me that was a bad idea and I started again (keeping paragraphs 1 and 2). Then I did draft 2, and he liked it so I sent it in. There was a little bit of editing (mostly his suggestions) but not much. But really I wrote it in like under an hour. So does that count as thinking things through?
