And a song I sent to [livejournal.com profile] arigi to the tune of "The Cheat is not dead"

i got mad at the cheat
for being annoying to knit
i hope i don't find him in a pit
or in a pile of yarn
cause then he won't be a kippah
the cheat is a kippah, so glad the cheat is a kippah
the cheat is a kippah, so glad the cheat is a kippah

well i still have to finish this The Cheat kippah (I have 9 rows left), plus 2 scarves for a raffle for the Providence Hebrew Day School. So it would be a while before I could knit it, but afterwards I'll be back in the kippot business.

Do you want to buy one from me? I could do it however large, whatever backrgound color, and whatever extra custom thing (like a hebrew or english name) you'd like. I charged Adam 18$ for his, but it would be like 10$ for you, since I already have the pattern figured out and it wouldn't be as annoying to make.

Sounds good. What background do you think would be best? I'm thinking he'd look good on red or blue? I usually wear black or white kippahs.

the one i'm making right now is on a dark blue, which looks good except that you can't see the brown (i used brown for the spots instead of black) when it meets the background. But a medium blue would work. Red would also work. If you wanted a black kippah, i could surround him with a border of white so he'd be more visible and then make the rest of the kippah black. so whatever you want.

Imagine if someone wore a white The Cheat kippah for Yom Kippur and led kol nidre...

Thanks! Do you have any other good kippah patterns?

i'm starting to put them online as i'm making them, but the only other ones i have are this kippah from the front of my kippah book that i really liked but didn't actually have the pattern inside the book, and one from my friends' wedding that I made 4 of for the wedding party. I had a jerusalem pattern a while back and I'm not sure if it got lost or not, but I could re-create that one pretty easily. But I don't have nay other homestarrunner characters or anything like that. If you want me to draw up a specific one, I could definitely try.

I'll take anything! I'm just starting to make kippot, and I don't have a pattern book yet, so I'd love to see anything you've got.

as you can see, I only have 3 up so far. But if I have time I'll eventually put up the ones from a pattern book I'm borrowing. It'll take a while, though.
