**edit**
Oh, I see why they labeled me as modern and not left or right wing
I didn't see this partt before:
Left Wing Modern Orthodox: 78%
Right Wing Modern Orthodox: 82%
Left Wing Yeshivish/Chareidi: 26%
Right Wing Yeshivish/Chareidi: 6%
This means you're: Modern Orthodox
What does it mean?
Congratulations. You're Modern Orthodox all right, but wait! Just when you were ready to live an idyllic happily-labeled life they announce Left Wing and Right Wing Modern Orthodoxy. What the heck is up with that? Maybe you need to rethink and refine some of your positions, and then take the test again so I can put you in a little box.
Surprisingly I'm more right wing than left wing, and i'm a little bit charedi. probably it was the quetsion about men learning, and i said at a fixed time daily.

Hi MO Rachel
Date: 2005-12-22 05:25 pm (UTC)and
I realized.
That almost everything I would want to say is summated so neatly and precisely in your post and that I can't add anything to it. That kind of anxiety. Now, I didn't get a nose piercing, because that probably isn't a reflection of my old or new self, but the feeling is the same.
So what should I do? Should I write about the same thing? Help!

Date: 2005-12-22 06:22 pm (UTC)One of my favorite writers on writing is Dorothea Brande, and she says that it's impossible for any two people to write the same thing. As a proof, she assigns her students to write a story about a couple whose marriage is in trouble because of financial stresses. Inevitably, each student comes up with his or her own take on the issue. Undoubtedly, your post would not be like Rachel's because your experience, though similar to hers, is not precisely the same.

Date: 2005-12-22 06:54 pm (UTC)I was considering answering some of the questions very tongue-in-cheek, but the test would have thought i took myself seriously...
and it seems that it was written more for males, if you look at some of the questions and possible answers.

Date: 2005-12-22 07:08 pm (UTC)You always can write on another topic, especially since Mark just gave us 4 new ones.
But if you have something you want to say, and think it will be helpful for people to read, go ahead and say it.
If you want input, I would be more than happy to look at something when you write it. Kressel did that for my first article.
