A few things have happened since I've moved in. 2 nights ago Reuven came over. We were shlepping some stuff down to the basement [well he did most of the work] and one thing was this weird chair. As we were going down the stairs, the board-thingy that makes up the seat became detached and hit me in the head. I blame Reuven.
Monday afternoon I took a walk around campus, sat outside and knitted for an hour, and stopped by the Writer's House on my way back. Jennifer Snead, probably one of my favorite teachers at Penn, was in, and I got to talk to her for a bit. She was wearing a tank-top. I never knew she had a tatoo on her shoulder.
Then yesterday I actually made it to minyan [7am, mind you] but the door was locked, so I spent a while outside waiting until someone else came, and he knew the combination, and thus I went to davening. They only had 5 guys total. So much for minyan.
Then I went to the gym for a bit before I had to mash. [There's a JCSC training conference at Hillel, so they need mashes. I feel less guilty about not working this month, since I actually am working this week.]
In the afternoon I went to get bolts for the table. And then I got a new penncard because the old one was completely broken. Then I went to the library, and saw Melanie, and talked to her for a while. And then I went back to the apartment.
Verizon was supposed to come yesterday to install DSL, but they never did. Though when Reuven and Josh visited last night, they brought in a UPS slip from verizon [why verizon would use a UPS slip is beyond me] that said we missed them and they'd be back tomorrow [ie today]. But it didn't say when they had come by on the slip. And when I called verizon today, I got put on hold for a long time, and transferred and put on hold again, and when I finally got throught, all they could tell me is that they come between 8:00am and 5:00pm, and couldn't give me a more specific time. So I'm stuck here until then. stupid verizon.
