Hopefully it will be b'seder
Mar. 1st, 2004 06:47 pmIf you don't like bad puns, I don't know why you still read this journal.
I got an e-mail from Marjorie Peskin (Wes' mom) about passover. It went something like this:

Rachel
It's Margi Peskin. Hope all is going well. I know you were in Israel once already and getting ready to go back. I am very jealous. My Jodes was there over Xmas time as well on a JAFI mission. We are talking about next year, but we'll see.
Anyway, I wanted to invite you to join us for Passover. We are somewhat eclectic in our celebration of the holiday, although everyone does humor me. We have moved to the "Open Door" Hagaddah now since Sue Elwell is not only our URJ regional director but a friend as well and it is a beautiful service. (It is an improvement over the hodgepodge I had merged on my own) but i will admit that it is a struggle to keep everyone focused. Your musical talent would definitely bean asset. I don't get to have Jody here since she has to "work" and lead a student sedar at UMBC.
You are more then welcome to bring a friend or two that need "a home" we always are happy to welcome "stranger" to our sedar table.
If I dont talk to you- have a wonderful and safe trip to Israel.
Margi

Of course, there's no way I could come to the seder because I couldn't stay over and observe Yom Tov [same laws as Shabbat]. It got me to realize I should probably figure out passover...
I asked Rabbi Seif if he knew anyone, and he said to ask Josh Shainesson [guitar Josh]. I told him to ask if he'd be ok with girls over, and then I'd personally ask if the answer was yes, but Rabbi Seif responded that it would be no big deal if I just asked him myself.
I went online and saw that Ariela had e-mailed housing. I can't see it on my application, but apparently on hers Gwen is listed as an applicant. So that's a good sign.
At dinner Joey gave me my The Cheat doll! Da Cheat'd! He's so cute and big and I just want to hug him.
Then I saw Josh and asked him about Passover. he said that it would be fine. [Hence my title...the seder is b'seder! Ok don't throw those tomatoes, please!]
I saw Yosef in the middle of typing this and showed him my Cheat doll. I've been showing it to everyone who has some knowledge of homestarrunner. Stu just came in and I showed it to him, too.

It's cheaterrific. You can even hear what it sounds like when you kick it.
