I spent Shabbat at the Diamonds. While waiting for Mr. Diamond to return from shul Chani, Ruchama, and I all played Fluxx [which is an awesome game.] Then we had dinner. Miriam and Rina, who are both in high school, had color war on Thursday and Friday, so they were exhausted. Everyone ended up going to bed early. I was asleep by 9:00.
On Saturday morning I woke up, not wanting to look at the clock [I figured it was 9] and went back to sleep. Then I woke up again, and after trying to go back to sleep finally looked at the clock. It was only 7:45! So I got up, and went downstairs to have breakfast, and I read. Eventually I got to shul and went to the Yavner's for lunch.
On the way there, my feet started hurting from my shoes [which had been fine all week]. I went barefoot for lunch, and put on bandaids so the way back would be bearable. They kept on coming off, though. So I was barefoot for the rest of the afternoon [which involved playing taboo, more fluxx {won 3 times in a row} and battleship]. There was a shiur for the high school girls that I went to. It was a 25 minute walk, so I ended up walking that barefoot after the first 10 feet. By the end I had mad hobbit walking skillz. Though whenever I found a patch of grass I'd walk in that instead of the pavement, which had little painful rocks.
The shiur was on the power of saying Amen, and a little bit about the halacha of it. Then we had shalshuddis, and we sang for an hour. It was great. I hadn't sung in like 4 weeks. And since no one else was really coming up with songs, I got to request everything I wanted to sing and hadn't sung in forever: Acheinu, esai einai, bilvavi, yaaleh v'yavo, l'y'rushalim, piha patcha [though I had forgotten how it started after being confused w/another melody though now I remember it], ani maamin, tov lehodot, mizmor l'david, and the cool yedid nefesh. Some of them they were singing anyways. And they sung some songs I didn't know, but oh well. And a few people told me I have a pretty voice. I miss having that happen all the time. Back in NFTY, I could sing as loud as I wanted and everyone complimented me. I know, I sound so self-centered, but it's one of the few things I'm actually confident about [since I'm completely self conscious about my looks and my personality] so it's nice to have my ego boosted to make up for my normally low self-esteem.
Then we walked back, and again I was barefoot. There was only a bit of Shabbas left, which I spent talking to Mrs. Diamond. She gave me potato kugel [which I think is even better than Ari Levine's but don't tell him that] which I have in my fridge now and am contemplating eating.
And then I was back home. I couldn't fall asleep [despite my lack of shabbas nap] so I read. I also was insanely hungry, so I went downstairs and made food. When I came back up Mittens had decided to sleep on my bed. I felt bad about kicking him off, so I let him stay. Which meant I had the door open and the lights on. At around 12 my dad came by and told me to close the door, which I didn't want to do in case Mittens wanted to leave. So I opened it when I turned out the lights and went to bed.

Today I saw Paperclips with my family. Grandpa and Grandma were crying at one point, which is usual, and my mom was, too, which is unusual.

Then I came home and read more. I talked to Yosef for a bit, but then my mom called and I had to go pick her up. She wanted me to meet the friends of Grandma's that they had all gone to luch with [I didn't come along with them for obvious reasons, namely the fact that I wouldn't have been able to eat there] so I talked to them for 5 minutes and then we went home, though we stopped for ice cream on the way.

I cleaned out my closet and discovered some cool pairs of shoes that still fit. Whee! And I can walk in my walk-in closet.
